The GWPCSC sponsors one AKC Show Specialty and one AKC Supported Entry Show per year. Our Specialty and Supported Entry is held at the Pasadena Kennel Club show held around June first; (see Jack Bradshaw for information on dog shows).

Specialty shows are events limited to a single breed and are sponsored by a national "parent" specialty club or local "regional" specialty clubs. Some specialty shows may be held in conjunction with an all-breed event and others are independent of all-breed shows. You can support the club by sponcering one of the many awards given at our show events. These can vary from trophys to ribbons to an additional gift. We also give a gift to the judge for taking the time and effort to come and judge. We have made donating an easy opportunity by using your credit card through PayPal.

Past GWPCSC events

  • June 2 & 3, 2007 - Pasadena Kennel Club, Brookside Park, Pasadena GWP Specialty and Sweepstakes.

  • October 27th, 2006 was the GWP Nationals hosted by the Southern California club. They were held at the fairgrounds in Dixon, CA.

  • June 3 & 4, 2006, Pasadena Kennel Club, Brookside Park, Pasadena, CA

    • We had the club’s annual specialty show June 3th & 4th, 2006. We started out on Saturday June 4, 2005 with the Supported Entry at the Pasadena Kennel Club Show at Brookside Park near the Rose Bowl. This is the second time our supported entry has been held the same weekend as the specialty. Sunday was the "Big Schew"! We began with Sweeps followed by Regular Classes. A few 'out-o-towners' came for the big event.

    A Pot-Luck luncheon followed the show. Karen picked up the fried chicken, drinks and brought the paper goods, utensils. Everyone brought a side-dish, fruit salads, chips, desserts etc.
